Surprise Live Wedding Painting: Cake Moment

Rachel and wedding reception at the Manor House was brimming with energy and excitement. This wedding painting was a surprise from the bridal party to the bride - I found the secrecy and surprise factor very exciting what !

The bridal party requested the couple’s cake cutting be live captured and gave me creative freedom for all other details. The Manor House reception area featured a gorgeous fireplace and windows. However, the cake table featured plain walls and the DJ table behind the beautiful cake table. Immediately I knew I had to be creative in re-setting the angle of the venue to capture the best parts of the location and moment. I “moved” the scene in the painting to include the floral and candle laden fireplace. I also added close up flowers along the edge of the canvas to showcase the stunning floral arrangements. The bride’s dog was added per request of the MOH who sent puppy photos prior to wedding.

Thank you to the bridal party for surprising the couple with an event painting!
