Inspired by the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio and the community’s horror when hazardous materials risked the safety of their neighborhood on the night of February 3, 2023. Despite it being a catastrophe that should have captured the attention of national news, the media was instead focused on the 65th Annual Grammy Awards merely two days later. It makes one wonder, if the devastation had affected upper class celebrities rather than an economically challenged village, would there have been a priority response?
